NCMA project
This piece is a bird inspired by Parrot Effigy Vessel with an area for a small plant or flowers to go. I used air dry clay for this project and created a pinch pot, shaped it and then added on a head, wings, and tail. This sculpture is definitely inspired by the NCMA artwork because I based mine of the style and colors of the original.

installation art
In our group we made a couple medium sized crystals. I think that in the end the way we were able to tape all the pieces together was where we were successful. I think if we were to do this project again we could make the crystals colorful and sparkly.
Wood workshop abstract clock
I utilized positive and negative space by arranging the wood in a circle for more positive used space in the center and negative as you move outwards. The difficult part of this piece was figuring out what I was going to make. With this project being so open to any ideas and not exactly having guidelines made it hard to think of what I wanted to make. I think the overall piece was successful with how i arranged the pieces of it and colors I used. I wanted it to look like a modern clock. That is what the smaller lines and center represent and the colors represent a simple modern look.

Paper Mache
I think the overall look was a success. The coloring makes the chicken look realistic and cooked. I think if I were to do this project again I would use more colors so it looked even more realistic in the end. We made the chicken by taping cardboard and newspaper together. Then we paper mache over and paint it.
Tripod cup greenware
The hardest part about this project so far is that the clay kept drying on me and I had trouble moving it after a while.
I feel like I was very successful with the design on the front and the smooth texture throughout the mug. If I were to make this again I think I would make the cup a bit bigger and that I would add a handle but my mug was to dried out to be able to attach one |
animal sculpture
I chose to make a sculpture of my dog. I constructed this by making 2 pinch pots and then blending more pieces of clay onto the pinch pots to give the face structure. The most difficult part of this was not knowing wear o how to add a fur looking texture, so I put texture in the most focused areas and decided to do the rest with paint.I think he most successful part of this project was how i put it together. The way I sculpted this piece in the beginning seemed to work well.
